Tim Menk
Tim Menk is a founding director of Arc of the Coast Eastern Cape Breton Cooperative Alliance, Ltd. (AOTC).
Since moving Gabarus, Cape Breton in 2008, Tim’s community activities have included being a founding director of Friends of Gabarus Society, (FOG) and a founding director the Gull Cove Trail Society, Tim also serves as an adviser to the Gabarus Lightkeepers’ Society.
Gene Kersey
Gene Kersey is a founding director of Arc of the Coast Eastern Cape Breton Cooperative Alliance, Ltd (AOTC).
Gene is Master Environmental Engineering graduate of University of Western Ontario, with a background in Systems Sciences.
Gene has had lifetime engagement in environmental compliance, impact assessment and regulation , local, national and international.
Gene has been recognized as a subject matter expert in environmental assessment, and a specialist in global climate change and its impacts on natural systems. Gene has a 20 year experience working for federal government, and in that capacity, working with local, state, provincial and federal governments in North America, Europe, African and the South Pacific. Gene has a particular interest in and experience managing and promoting public participation in government decision-making.
Since 2006 Gene and his partner have lived in Cape Breton, in the 300 year old fishing village of Gabarus.
